Singletrack Adventure Terms and Conditions

Although Singletrack Adventures has taken reasonable steps to provide a safely guided experience, hiking and mountain biking are activities involving some risk. It is therefore mandatory for you to have the proper personal insurances (medical aid with evacuation plan) or a short-term insurance policy must be taken out for the duration of the trip. Furthermore, it is always a good idea to have your equipment and personal belongings insured, as this is at your risk should you not have the correct insurances.

Singletrack Adventures and all persons associated with the business cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to your equipment nor can Singletrack Adventures and all persons associated with the business be held liable for any injuries, illness, or death to yourself that may occur whilst on tour or any time in the future.

Payment terms:

Should you sign up for one of our awesome Wild Tours, the following payment plan will be in place:

  • 50% deposit will secure your place within the Wild tour.
  • 50% is due 2 months before the tour start date.

Cancelation Policy

We know life can be unpredictable and things out of our control can happen. Below is the minimum refund you will receive; any additional refund will be at our discretion, and this will be accepted as final.

Refunds

Cancellations for more than 6 months in advance: a full refund is granted.

Cancellations between 6 and 2 months away: 50% of tour value will be refunded and 50% towards another future dated tour.

Cancellations less than 2 months away: The value of tour is forfeited (due to accommodation commitments we cannot give refunds within the last two months-see substitutions below)

Substitutions

We will allow a substitute at any time at no additional charge. The substitution will need all required documents signed and formalised by our office timeously for the substitution to be accepted.

Covid & Lockdown

All our accommodation providers offer a postponement if travel restrictions are imposed by government for Covid19. If this does happen, we will do our best to postpone your tour to a date that suits you.

Weather

We cannot control the weather and we may experience some wet and windy days on tour. Should your tour be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions such as flooding, we will do our best to reschedule you on another hike (pending availability).

Tour cancellations:

We must receive a minimum of 14 participants to run our Wild trips to make it feasible. In the event that Singletrack Adventures exercises the right to cancel a tour, the tour fee will be refunded in full or we will try to accommodate you on a future dated tour.

All our Wild hikes are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to accommodation availability, extreme weather, river crossings, logistical issues etc

Listed prices are per person per trip. Associated costs, such as airfare, rental cars, and hotel lodging before or after the hiking tour, are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in or covered by the list price.

Medical assistance

Please note that you are responsible for your own safety on this trip. Singletrack Adventure tours operate in remote areas, where cell phone signal and vehicle access are limited, and medical assistance is not located nearby.  All clients must ensure they have adequate medical insurance for the duration of the trip, including helicopter evacuation and hospital coverage in case of an emergency.

The information given in your personal details must be correct and active should you require medical assistance.

We would also suggest you look at insuring your equipment against any loss or damages that may occur on the tour.
